It is the easy for you to come by car from the highway, by train with the Indian Pacific across the country side or from the Domestic Airport and International Airport.
If you are here at 1201 East Backpackers you can walk down on Hay Street to the mall in a couple of minutes or you use the unique free bus connection. There are many bus lines like the Red Cat circle line.

Perth by the way is the sunniest city in Australia. With its pleasant climate in Summer and mild days in Winter is Perth the winner making your stay enjoyable. The ongoing breeze through gives Perth a healthy environment. Fabulous beaches and Swan River gives you the first impression what WA is like
We offer clean, spacious dorms and bedrooms where our guests have enough space for themselves and their kit. A great selection of different bedding configuration for every taste and budget is available as well as a comfortable bed for that good sleep, regardless of the time of day.
You can cook that special meal or just a sandwich in our well-equipped kitchen, each of our guests gets their personal plates, cups and cutlery so no one has to share. The dining room is large enough for a banquet of thirty and small enough for that intimate dinner for two.
XANDER BAR, located in the basement, is the social hub of the hostel where everyone knows your name. Guests chat, play pool, table tennis or darts, drink, dance or watch TV
There are two supermarkets, a post office, two bottle shops, hotels and bars, night clubs and many restaurants all nearby. The Swan River, the Western Australian cricket grounds are also just seconds away from our front door.
When you eventually leave Perth your fondest memories of this town will include the fun, friends and the great times you had at 1201 East Backpackers.
Our hostel consists of 4, 6, and 10-bed (single and mixed sex) dorms as well as doubles, triples, twins, and singles. All beds have linen, blankets and pillows supplied and all rooms are air conditioned.
