About Cape Agulhas Backpackers
CAPE AGULHAS BACKPACKERS is located in the coastal village of Struisbaai, 400m from the famous 14km unbroken beach, the longest in the Southern Hemisphere. This stretch of warm Indian ocean beach is one of South Africa's kite boarding hot spots. Here you will explore CAB, being described as a very nice little hotel with backpackers character and is only a stone throw away from the pubs, restaurants and town centre.
We have en-suite self catering units, doubles, singles and dormitories . All the rooms walk out from the veranda onto the tranquil garden with hammocks and a quiet place to chill out . We supply you of fresh linen (goose down duvets) and towels. CAB has a vibrant bar and braai area which overlook the pool, warm outside shower and TV lounge with a great DVD selection about Africa and its Big 7 (whales & sharks).
Enjoy the view of the swimming pool from the office with a mini travel desk and a pool table. We have excellent knowledge of our amazing area so we can arrange everything from day trips, 4x4 trips, fishing charters, whale watching and sunset cruises from our own hydrofoil supported catamaran. We do kayak and bicycle rentals to explore our epic little coastal village or take a 5km trip to the lighthouse and take a nice stroll to the southern most tip of Africa, where the two oceans meet.
We are 2 hours drive from Cape Town International. pick ups can be arranged, we can organize transport from Swellendam or Botriver and back. Take a scenic drive from Cape Town over the mountain (OVERBERG-do visit the villages and see overberg hospitality @ its best) via Caledon, Napier and Bredasdorp.
