About L'Olivette Chambres D'Hotes
Friendly high class accommodation set in 2 acres of natural garden with over 80 olive trees, with magnificent views from the terrace over the town of Quillan to the hills opposite. Also from the garden there are views of the gorge Pierre Lys. Although we are only 5 minutes on foot to the town centre we are in a very quiet setting ideal for peaceful nights and relaxation.Chemin Noir is an ancient Cathar trail to Brenac and onwards to Puivert with its Cathar castle, museum and swimming lake.We have two double bedrooms, one en-suite, the other with its own large bathroom right next to it.Both bedrooms open directly onto the garden and have tea and coffee making facilities, TV/DVD player.Quillan is situated in the high valley of the Aude with the river running through the centre of the town. Quillan is well served by bars and restaurants throughout the year, has its own supermarket, banks, bakers, newsagents etc. and a market held every Wednesday and Saturday all year round. Throughout the summer months there is nightly entertainment in the squares in the town centre, including a international folk festival, jazz festival, evening market and music every Thursday evening and many other events for all age groups and families.
