About Maqai Beach

The alluring islands of northern Fiji now have a new destination. Located where the lush rainforest meets tropical beaches, this hidden island escape takes your pace with a full range of island activities involving volcanic mountains, true Fijian villages, and the endless possibilities of the pacific ocean.

Maqai Beach presents a one-of-a-kind cultural and adventure experience in this new and remote location. We offer a rare style of tourism that is very much integrated with local custom and lifestyle. The Maqai crew is a young, funloving group of remarkable locals who wish to share their island homeland with their guests.

Eco-Bures:
With its back to the jungle laden mountainside, Beach front Eco-Bures are furnished with comfy dressed beds, rainwater flush toilets, rainwater showers and are just a few meters from the ocean. Available in singles, twins, doubles and triple-share dorms.

Food and Drink:
Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are provided using a combination of vegetables harvested fresh from our on-sight organic garden as well as from the local farmer's markets. Freshly caught seafood is often on the menu. Daily baking of breads and collection of Maqai fruits. Meal inspirations and recipes come from the local Fijian village home as well as popular favorites across the globe. On special occasions, the Maqai crew do a Lovo night or a big BBQ feast. Should you want privacy, meals can be served directly to your front porch.

Full meal plan F$30 a day.

BYO alcohol. Delivery beer and spirits are available.
