About Pingyao Harmony Backpacker Guesthouse
Located in the ancient city of Pingyao, Harmony Backpacker Guesthouse offers a relaxing haven to all travellers. You will be greeted by English speaking staff in this family run hostel and have the opportunity to meet other travellers over a cold beer and traditional home-cooked Chinese dishes. The house was built in the Ming Dynasty and retains its orginal architecture. At night the courtyard is lit with sky lanterns which creates an cozy atmosphere for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing.
There is both westen and chinese food. Many kinds of westen style foods (such as cheese or mushroom omelettes, fruit salad with yogurt, banana
pancake, apple pancake, sandwiches and much more). We also provide famous local Chinese snacks (such as Pingyao beef and many kinds of noodles).
About our rooms: We have dorm rooms, double rooms, twin rooms and triple rooms. All the rooms have air conditioning, hot water (24 hours), private bathroom and wireless internet. Our rooms are very clean and quiet and our traditional Kang beds are very comfortable and fairly price
Tourists information: Every day we arange tours (such as Pingyao ancient city, Wang's family courtyard, Qiao's family courtyard and Zhang Bi old castle). You can share transportation with others.
All of my family speak very good english and we will do our best to make you feel comfortable during your stay here.
We also offer free pick up service from the train station. If you book a room please let us know the number of the train and arrival time before you come to Pingyao and we will arrange a car to take you to the guesthouse.
Important information: Because Pingyao is a very small town it is impossible to book advance sleeper train tickets at the railway station. However, don't worry! At Harmony Guesthouse we can help you to book your onward train tickets according to your requirements. Popular destinations include: Xi'an, Beijing, Luo Yang and Shanghai.
A free cup of coffee or free bottle of beer will be waiting for you on arrival.
