Located in Sydney's favourite Backpacker quarter, Kings Cross, The Globe can offer you the Sydney experience you are looking for. Whether you enjoy the cosmopolitan lifestyle of the café set, the nightclub scene or a good book in a quiet park, we've got it all for you. A brief walk will take you through the Botanical Gardens to the Opera House and Harbour, or a 20 minute bus trip will take you to the popular Bondi Beach.
The Globe is a unique hostel, being small and owner operated, we offer a comfortable and friendly style of backpacker accommodation where you can meet new friends and see the best of Sydney.
Apart from offering you the facilities of a fully equipped kitchen, full bathrooms as well as a shower block and laundry, we also have 3 large common areas. Our private outdoor Courtyard where you can relax or have fun at our BBQ's, our TV room where you can watch cable on our massive big screen TV and the world famous Blue Room where we like to party or watch sports on our other big cable TV.

On our doorstep are all the extra's you need - cheap food, cheap & free drinks, bars, supermarkets, banks, a post office, parks and some of the most famous sights in Australia.
The Globe's staff are happy to assist you in finding work, planning tours and helping you with all of the information you may need once you arrive in Sydney.

We recommend our hostel to travellers between the ages of 18 to 40 due to our location and energetic character!
A valid passport is required by ALL guests upon check in.
If you arriving at the airport between 8.00am and 6:00pm, and only for bookings of 4 nights or more, simply call us for a free airport pickup. For booking less then 4 nights, Shuttle Buses are available from the airport for around $12.00 per person, or trains to Kings Cross for around $17.00. A Taxi will cost around $35.00.
Coming to Sydney by bus or train? Catch the train from platform 24 at Central Station & get off at Kings Cross Station, from which we are just a 100m walk, opposite McDonald's on Darlinghurst Road.
