3 days in London, England

Day 1  – Take in the main sites

London_cityinfoBegin your day by getting the tube to Westminster Station and crossing the river for the best view of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Then take a trip on London’s number one tourist attraction the London Eye. Afterwards cross back over the river and take a right up Parliament St, passing by Number 10 Downing Street. Then take a left at Trafalgar Square and enjoy a leisurely stroll down The Mall toBuckingham Palace.

In the afternoon, after checking out Piccadilly Circus visit the British Museum, one of the English capital’s finest.

That evening take in a show in London’s infamous West End. Discounted tickets can be bought on the same day of performance at the TKTS Booth in Leicester Square but also in various booths in the vicinity.

 

Day 2  – Ravens and beefeaters

Home to some of the world’s most innovative pieces of art, the Tate Modern is one of the best-known modern art museums in the world. Just across the Millennium Bridge from here is St Paul’s Cathedral. This part of the city is known as known as The City.

Home to ravens, beefeaters and the Crown Jewels, the Tower of London is the perfect place to while away an afternoon in the city and shouldn’t be missed.

Definitely one of London’s most eclectic areas, Camden is full of trendy bars and restaurants. It gets going in the evenings.

 

Day 3  – London’s art galleries

19Visit Trafalgar Square and try not to get attacked by the pigeons! Here you will find two of the city’s best art galleries – the National Galleryand the National Portrait Gallery.

Two of London’s best areas for people watching are Soho and Covent Garden. Full of shops, cafés and the city’s beautiful people, keep an eye open for celebrities wandering its streets.

Go to Brick Lane in London’s infamous East End for the best selection of Indian restaurants in the city, then end the day in one of the numerous bars in nearby Shoreditch.
