There I was, my alarm all set for 5am. I was going to get up, watch the sunrise and hopefully catch a glimpse of the pod of dolphins who apparently swim past the hostel most mornings at this time. Did I wake up with my alarm? No.
Instead I woke up at 7am with the sky already light and the dolphins no doubt already well on their way to finding some fish for breakfast. Tomorrow morning I really am going to get up early for it as I’d love to see them in the wild like that.
There are quite a few clouds in the sky here this morning and I really hope they bring rain at some stage as Jeffreys Bay is another area that really could do with some rain. I’m not sure if it’s going to happen though, as I can already see the sun breaking through and the patches of cloud getting lighter.
I’m off on a tour of the township nearby later so in the meantime I’ve been catching up on some work using Island Vibe’s brand spanking new WiFi system. Because of the WiFi I can actually sit out on my balcony and look out at the sea as I work. As you can see from the pic, this really makes a change from my desk back in the office!
Right, I’m off to send some emails and try and get in contact with Andy at the local boardriders club here who’s hopefully going to help me out with a podcast about surfing in J Bay.
