So today has been another one of those days where not a lot happens. I’m in Johannesburg now, or Jo’burg, as it’s called. Because of my flight being the time it was (1pm), it was hard to do anything.

The great thing about Florida Road where I’m staying is the choice of restaurants and bars. This is seen as the liveliest (and safest) street in Durban and there are lots to choose from.

Mossel Bay Backpackers is in a great spot close to The Point where you'll find a bunch of restaurants, along with a great surfing beach (I saw lots of guys out there today), the Cave and an awesome hiking trail up to the top of the Point.

I left Plett for Mossel Bay today after a morning of finishing up the last few things in Plettenberg Bay and procuring a couple of second hand books for the bus journey today and for my trek from Mossel Bay to Cape Town on Thursday.

My first game drive last Friday began at 12 noon. As you should know, this is when the day is hottest. Because of this, the chances of seeing animals are slim as they’re hiding away in the shade somewhere, most of them asleep.

After the visit to Emdoneni Lodge last Saturday afternoon, we made it back to St Lucia for around 6pm. I began watching the Ireland game against France in the Six Nations - we were beaten quite badly, unfortunately.
