I arrived in Plettenberg Bay or Plett after a really pleasant trip on the Baz Bus. On the way we stopped in a little roadside café where I bought my first souvenir and talked to a lady who works there about the area’s current drought.

This afternoon I headed out to the Waterfall with a group from Island Vibe. The waterfall itself is down to a trickle because of the current drought, but there’s still a deep pool underneath. Perfect for jumping into, as you can see from the photo.

When it comes to nightlife in Cape Town, one street that pops up time and time again is Long St. This street is line with bars on both sides and a good place to go for a night out.

There I was, my alarm all set for 5am. I was going to get up, watch the sunrise and hopefully catch a glimpse of the pod of dolphins who apparently swim past the hostel most mornings at this time. Did I wake up with my alarm? No.
