5. Sampling Orlando’s nightlife, after a ‘tweetup’

   Are you aware of what a tweetup is? Probably not, although you don't need to Einstein to figure out what it is. It’s when a bunch of people who know each other or are familiar with each other through Twitter ie lots of travel bloggers, meet up in person. Last Saturday I went to the second one I’ve been to since touching down in America.

7. The Harry Potter 'Theme Park' – The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

   A number of months back, the opening of the ‘Harry Potter Theme Park’ generated an awful lot of media coverage. I saw it briefly in the news myself, but I remember others telling me that it was a park where you could buy wands, visit Hogwarts School and more in the presence of thousands of other muggles. Yesterday I got to see what all the fuss is about.

8. Theme parks in Orlando – Universal Studios Florida

   Today I made it to one of the most popular theme parks in Orlando – Universal Studios Florida. It’s actually divided into two theme parks now (it was only one when I was here last). There’s Universal Studios of course, but now there’s a second one also – Islands of Adventure.

9. Eating out in Orlando – good value along International Drive

   When I was fifteen I travelled to Orlando with my parents on a family holiday. We stayed in a hotel along a road (more of a motorway really) called International Drive. I remembered that there was a bit of life to be found along it, so last night I returned to see if my memory was serving me correctly.

10. Travel journalism – it has its advantages

    I am now in the fourth city of this three week adventure to the USA – Orlando. This entire trip is pretty much planned around my visit to this city. I’m in town for the first Travel Blogger Show which is taking place on Sunday as part of the Travel Trade Show.
