Our photo of the day: Feeding the elephants at Tierpark Hagenbeck

Wild nights out aren’t the only thing you can enjoy in Hamburg, one of Germany’s most-visited cities. One of my favourite places in the city is the Tierpark Hagenbeck, where you can feed the elephants and see all kinds of cool creatures.

South Africa’s Garden Route is a great place for an adventure, thanks to the huge array of activities for you to try out. Probably one of the most exciting of these is cage diving with great white sharks, which you can do from Mossel Bay.

    Going to gigs in Glasgow

    May272011

I could visit Glasgow a hundred times and still keep going back for more. I’ve been twice for work and plenty of other times to hang out with friends and go to gigs. The live music scene in Glasgow is incredible, thanks to a great mix of home grown talent and top bands from all over the world. Three of my favourite places to go to concerts in Glasgow are the O2 Academy, the Garage and the SECC.

Bath is one of my favourite cities in the UK thanks to the friendly locals and must-see attractions, including the famous Roman Baths which should definitely be at the top of your list. You’ll love this city because even though it has a real small-town vibe, there's always something fun to do.

Our photo of the day: In Valencia’s Mercado Central

I love Valencia – I’ve been there twice. The last time was for a festival called Las Fallas. It was crazy. I can honestly say that I never experienced anything like it before. But the time before that was my first visit, and what I liked most about it was the fact that it isn’t commericalised like other Spanish cities. It’s got lots of places to explore, one of them being Mercado Central which is pictured here.

Our photo of the day: Strolling down Pitt Street in Sydney

    May252011

Temptation is something I have issues with when I’m travelling to different cities filming videos and recording podcasts. This is largely due to discovering new shops where I could spend hours and hours, and hundreds and hundreds of dollars. In Sydney, many of these shops are found on Pitt Street, a pedestrianised street in the middle of the CBD (Central Business District).

Berlin is a great city for many reasons – it’s got lots of stories to tell, the people are friendly, and it’s got one Europe’s best city-centre parks with the Tiergarten. It’s also the perfect place to soak up culture in the museums. To make things easy for us travellers, all the main ones are found on the appropriately titled Museumsinsel, meaning ‘Museum Island’ in English.
