I made a couple of trips down to Bačvice Beach during my time in Split and each time it was crowded with people, enjoying the sun, sea and sand. It’s a beautiful beach located around 15 minutes walk from the city centre, and is one of the most popular spots in Split.

Walking around Mendoza, you'll soon realise it's unlike other South American cities (if you've been to any prior to visiting this one). Other cities on the continent are known for their hecticness and fast pace. But one city that hasn't really adopted this way of life is Mendoza in western Argentina.

While it isn't one of Spain's biggest cities, Granada in the south of the country still has different neighbourhoods worth exploring. One of these is called Alcaicería which is where I took today's photo.

During my stay in Malaga, I discovered that the city’s main shopping street is also really lively at night. While I was there, lots of people were strolling along or hanging out on the benches, even after most of the shops were closed. As I wandered along, I came across carts selling all kinds of delicious treats and some really cool street performers.

There are certain things which are part and parcel of a trip to Bangkok. A stroll down the Khao San Road is one. Eating quality street food is another. One other is a trip on one of the city's celebrated tuk-tuks.

I really enjoyed my stay in the Norwegian capital of Oslo. I loved the city’s diverse neighbourhoods, especially Grünerløkka with its fantastic selection of restaurants, including Villa Paradiso. You can find out more about this cool eatery, plus lots more, in our free Oslo pocket guide.

Parte Vieja, San Sebastian’s Old Town area, is where you’ll find some of the best pintxos bars in the city. And what are pintxos? Well, they’re what San Sebastian is famous for. These tapas like dishes are available at bars throughout the city. When I recorded our San Sebastian podcast, I spent the evening visiting a number of these pintxos bars sampling their specialities. Something I’d definitely recommend to anyone visiting San Sebastian.
