Melbourne may not be as well known for its beaches as Sydney is, but if the sun is shining there's one place that people flock to in the Victorian capital - St Kilda Beach. obviously they didn't flock on this particular day (skies were blue but it was still a bit chilly), but you can see from this shot that it's a golden beach that begs sunbathing.

Going for a stroll through the English Market is one of my favourite things to do in Cork. Hugely popular with locals, this market is home to a large selection of stalls selling all kinds of food. Many of them offer free samples, which is great if you’re feeling peckish as you wander around.

Bratislava is one of my favourite cities in Eastern Europe. It’s got a really welcoming vibe, it’s easy to get around and there is a plethora of places to visit. I really enjoyed having a wander around Jedlíkova Open-Air Market, tucked in off the city’s main shopping street by Castum Pub, which is actually a great spot for a post-shopping drink.

I really enjoyed my visit to Pretoria in South Africa’s northern Gauteng Province. The locals are friendly, the attractions are a lot of fun and there’s a great selection of places to eat and drink. In fact, Pretoria is a really great place to try traditional Afrikaner dishes like ‘vetkoek’, a pastry packed full of delicious fillings. Yum.

Strawberries, rain delays and the occasional temper tantrum are just some of the things associated with Wimbledon, one of most popular sporting events of the summer. Celebrating its 125th anniversary this year, the competition is sure to be fierce. Wimbledon championship matches start on June 20th, so make your way to London’s SW19 area to see the likes of Serena Williams and Andy Murray battle their rivals.

Chinatown is probably my second favourite neighbourhood in Liverpool, after Lark Lane. Like Lark Lane, it’s filled with affordable restaurants selling delicious food. One of my favourites has to be Tokyou, a cool little noodle bar that attracts a great mix of visitors and locals with its tasty dishes, large portions and cheap prices.

At some stage during your trip to Zurich you’ll find yourself at the city’s Hauptbahnhof or main train station. Lots of trams leave from in and around the station, which is located right at the heart of the city.

One of my favourite things to do in Toronto is taking a trip out to the Toronto Islands. The ferry ride only takes around 15 minutes and along the way you’ll get some incredible views of the Toronto skyline, so it’s a good idea to keep your camera at the ready.
