The celebration of Halloween is commonly thought to have its roots in the Gaelic harvest festival of Samhain. During the two days of 31st October and 1st November, the world of the supernatural was thought to be closer to ours and people would light bonfires to invoke the gods and ward off evil spirits.

Meet Luca Coda, owner of the award-winning Hostel of the Sun in Naples. I was lucky enough to have stayed in Hostel of the Sun six years ago on a trip to Naples. While I meet Luca every year at the 'Hoscars', the biggest hostel awards of the year, reading this makes me think I need to get back to Naples and his hostel sooner rather than later.

Last week we posted our very first '#FriFotos' post as part of a weekly forum called (you guessed it) #FriFotos where people upload images to Twitter, using the #FriFotos hashtag. Instead of uploading individual shots, we picked multiple images surrounding the theme and made a post. This week we've done the same, and the theme today is 'Windows'.
