    Why I love hostels

    Oct302012

Hostel culture isn’t that big in America. Outside of a few large cities, you rarely find hostels. You just don’t have the travel culture other countries have that make them popular. Our view of hostels comes from what we see on movies and TV – dirty, seedy places, where someone might kidnap you and take you for medical experiments in Bratislava.

Q & A with Gonzalo Rodriguez of Bellavista and La Chimba Hostels, Santiago

    Oct252012

Meet Gonzalo Rodriguez, owner of the award-winning La Chimba Hostel and also Bellavista Hostel in Santiago, Chile. I asked him a few questions about his hostel, his favourite bar in Santiago and what made him open a hostel...

Live the Bond lifestyle on a budget

    Oct182012

One of myfavourite things about watching James Bond movies is seeing all the stunning locations where his adventures unfold. Bond is always on the move and over the years has racked up quite a number of stamps on the many passports he owns. However, no Bond film is complete without a few adventures in his native land and throughout 23 films, including the latest release ‘Skyfall’, James Bond has experienced many shootouts, car chases and encounters with beautiful women around the UK.

    A mini-adventure of Downtown Manhattan

    Oct172012

Last June I visited a travel blogging conference in Keystone, Colorado. I’d never been to that part of the States before, but I’m glad that this conference triggered my first visit.
