Of all the bars in Chicago I should visit, people who had been here before recommended I go to one in particular – the Signature Lounge on the 96th floor. Last night I went with a friend from my home town of Drogheda in Ireland.
Before going to the bar we went up the John Hancock Center again. The view at night time is breathtaking. The spooky reflection is Kev, the guy who I went out with. He’s there five months and hadn’t been up it before. Always the same – you never visit the main tourist attractions in the place where you live.
We spent a short time there before going up two floors (via the ground floor which was very annoying) for a cocktail in the Signature Lounge. While we didn’t go too mad, we did have a few beers. Was good to catch up.
Today it’s a whole new city...New York baby.
