Visiting Madrid soon and want to stay connected on your trip? Fear not, there are a lot of places around the city that will allow you to log on for free...
1. News Kiosks – WiFi Gratis, across the city centre
At a selection of News Kiosks around the city centre of Madrid you will see a sign on the side saying ‘WiFi Gratis’ like the one pictured here. Just stand close to the kiosk to pick up the free WiFi.
2. La Cabra en el Tejado, Calle de Santa Ana, 29
This great little bar not too far from the La Latina metro stop allows you to log on for free over a drink.
3. Ojalá, Calle de San Andrés, 1
Not too far from Gran Via you will find this quirky and arty restaurant that is a popular choice for many for both its setting and the food on offer. There’s also free WiFi so you can share your food photos immediately.
4. The Irish Rover, Av del Brasil, 7
This popular Irish Bar can be found close to the Bernabeu Stadium and is a popular spot. There’s a large selection of drinks on offer as well as food, drinks deals, a great beer garden and of course, free WiFi.
5. Cafe & Te, Calle Mayor 4 and various locations
You will find these cafes (pictured above) all over the city centre of Madrid and they all offer free WiFi. Order yourself a coffee and a pastry and log on for free to check your emails.
6. Cafetería Santander, Plaza de Santa Bárbara, 4
This popular cafe/ restaurant offers hot and cold food and drinks, take away, a terrace, free WiFi and internet access if you have no device to log on to. With all this under one roof, it’s the perfect stop off to get online, refuel and relax in Madrid.
7. Bufalino, Calle de la Puebla, 9
This bar and restaurant has a really relaxed vibe where you can enjoy some food and wine or just a coffee and a catch up with some friends. There’s free WiFi on offer here so you log on to tell your friends about this great new place you’ve discovered.
8. VIPS, Calle de la Princesa, 3 and various locations
This chain of restaurants can be found dotted around Madrid offering a large selection of food for all times of the day. You can also log on to their free WiFi in most locations too.
9. Plaza de Santo Domingo
In this city square (pictured above) you will find poles with WiFi signs that allows you to access the web for free just simply by being in the plaza.
10. Starbucks, Calle de Fuencarral and various locations
You will often find Starbucks on these kind of lists for cities around the world and Madrid is no different. There are a number of outlets of this world famous coffee house around the city so if you’re here for a refreshment then hold on to your receipt as it’s got your code for free WiFi.
