Last month I found myself in Rome with four hours to spare. I arrived at 2pm and was leaving for the aiport at 6pm. I decided that since we've lots of hostels in Rome, I would call into one of them (M&J Hostel to see the manager Mario) before embarking on a whirlwind tour of downtown Rome, taking in as much sights as possible.

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, or The Central Weekend as it is also known, takes place across the UK from June 2nd to 5th 2012. This weekend is to mark 60 years of The Queen’s reign and there will be many events and parties to celebrate Jubilee Weekend, particularly in London. It’s also a four day weekend in the UK as the May Bank Holiday is being moved a week forward for the Jubilee holiday.

Keukenhof is an annual event that takes place in Holland in a 32-hectare park that is home to more than 7 million tulips, daffodils and hyacinths. Here you can walk through 15 kilometres of footpaths that are surrounded by countless colourful tulips and the garden remains open until 20th May 2012.

Sydney is my favourite city in the world - no question. This is probably because I lived there for a year and have been back twice since. But another reason is that, while I was living there, every time I went down to Circular Quay I felt I was on my holidays, even though I called it 'home' at the time. That's thanks to two landmarks - the iconic Sydney Opera House, and the equally iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. Now, thanks to 'Bridge Climb Sydney', you can climb it.
