And so my time in Cape Town has come to an end. I’m in Durban at the moment (more about that in my next post) but I’m just going to finish with this about Cape Town...
Thanks to my job, I’ve been to many places around the world, and seen a lot of cities in particular. In terms of ‘spectacularness’ (to make up a word), Cape Town is up there in the top three. The other two? Rio de Janeiro and Sydney. That’s my opinion anyway.
So as you can see I enjoyed my time in Cape Town. A lot of this is thanks to all the staff at The Backpack where I stayed for my week there. From the day I arrived, everyone made me feel welcome. I don’t want to single out anybody as they all made me feel at home, but to all the crew who drove me to Bloeberg Strand (not Table View Beach!), brought me to the township, drove me around Cape Town when I first arrived, helped me with my car rental, took me out on my first night, got me porridge every morning and laughed at my BUCKAWWWP joke, a MASSIVE thank you. I look forward my second visit to Cape Town.
Now, where was I? Oh yes, Durban...
