    Hi.

I’m Elizabeth. That’s my ol’ mug pictured at the top. So, who exactly am I? For starters, I’m the winner of the “Hostelworld.com Connects” video competition, and recipient of an around the world trip, which I will begin very soon.

I am also a teacher, advertiser, vagabond, and now guest blogger for Hostelworld.  I hail from a small town, population 4,000, in the United States where the only thing that has changed in the past 50 years has been the addition of a new stoplight.

I have spent the past two years, give or take some downtime in the States, living out of a backpack and doing whatever it takes to see as much of this beautiful world that I can. It hasn’t always been easy, but the indescribable moments of bliss (i.e. swinging from a 40 ft platform into the murky river of Vang Vieng, Laos) make up for any hardships experienced along the way.

Join me as I embark on my journey. The best is yet to come!

Elizabeth, I am so happy that you were chosen to do your thing: Travel the world!!! I am a former flight attendant of a major US airline. I can now re-live some of my traveling days through you. Thank you so much for anything that you post. I feel that so many can benefit. It's so enlightening & enjoyable to read others' travel experiences!!! Thanks again!

Ahh! No need to read a book when you have E-beth's blogs. Although, I am reading "The Alchemist" right now and it reminds me of your taveling soul. Can't wait to follow the stories/adventures! ~AshMo

Elizabeth.....sooo glad that I saw on FB that you were going to be writing this blog. I write an almost-daily blog, dealing with my days, travels, family happenings.....and I LOVE doing it. But....I enjoy just as much reading others....and you are now bookmarked for my daily attention. Where in Korea are you? I spent 5 months in Kunsan....in the military during the Viet Nam era. John

I like how you're holding the globe in an accurate representation of the earth's tilted axis.

Elizabeth, wow I absolutely amazed at everything you have done and become. I can only dream about getting to see even half of what you have already seen, not to mention everything you will see in the future. To come from our small quiet town and go so far. Congratulations and good luck on all your adventures. Enjoy life to the fullest of its potential.
