    Hostels offering 'volcano' specials!

Chances are you’ve already heard about the volcanic ash cloud causing chaos throughout European airspace. Travel disruptions are set to continue for a while yet but this ashy cloud has a silver lining with hostels across Europe offering ‘volcano’ specials!

If you’re still in Dublin, head on down to the Litton Lane Hostel in the city centre. Just say the word ‘volcano’ when you’re checking in and you’ll be immediately offered a 15% discount on advertised prices!

Travellers in London should check out The Green Man Bestplace Inn, the Steam Engine Bestplace Inn and the White Ferry House. These hostels, which are located in Paddington, Waterloo and Victoria respectively, are offering beds from £10. On top of that, you’ll get free drinks vouchers on arrival and free WIFI all weekend. Just what you’ll need to wait out the cloud!

Riga’s International Airport is currently closed too, with a huge numbers of flight cancellations. If you’re still in the city, and looking for somewhere to stay, try Friendly Fun Franks as they’re offering a 50% discount or a free night when you book one night in the hostel.

I am stuck in Dublin and the guys here at the International Hostel have been really cool and give me a cheap price on my room only €12 when I show them my boarding pass and they have been really helpful so I can talk to my family in Spain. Also nice fresh baked Irish bread for the breakfast.
