(February 1st*) I arrived in Pretoria today after two flights (Dublin to London and London to Jo'burg) and one very pleasant car ride with KG who works for my hostel's tour company.
That hostel is Pretoria Backpackers which, as you can see from the photo, has some pretty cool private rooms. When checking in I met Hazel, Maria and owner Francois who are looking after me really well, along with KG, Trish and all the other staff here.
I'm in the hostel’s guesthouse which is just a couple of doors down from the main hostel itself. And this building has its own pool.
Bit tired from the flight but once I've rested I'm going to go and check out the Loftus Versfeld Stadium, where some of the World Cup 2010 games are being held. I'm informed that there's a pretty good place to eat just down the road from the stadium so I’ll definitely be checking that out too!
(*I'm posting these blogs retrospectively from Jo'burg Airport while waiting on my flight to PE because of internet issues over the past few days!)
In our hostelworld.com travel blog we bring you all the latest company news and information on new additions to the site including podcasts, videos and more. You'll also get inside information on a variety of destinations across the globe as they're visited by our travel editor and writers.
