Not sure if you've noticed before, but Hostelworld.com doesn't have any free pocket guides, podcasts or videos for South America. That is all going to change though.
My bosses here at HWHQ have been kind enough to send me on a six-week whirlwind trip of South America. First stop is Lima which is where I am now. I got here two days ago. Apologies on the delay with the blog posts.
I'm staying in Albergue Miraflores. It's a great hostel with a really homely feel to it. This is mainly due to Francis, the owner, who really goes out of his way to make sure you get the most out of your stay.
After a quick snooze after arriving (I got here at 7am after an 11.5 hour flight from Madrid), Francis took me around the city. We had a bite to eat and then checked out the National Archaeology Museum. Well worth visiting.
When we got back to the hostel I did some work, then put my head down for what I thought would've only been thirty minutes. That was at 7.30pm. I awoke after 10.5 hours at 6am the next day...bright eyed and bushy tailed for the next day. But more about that later...
In our hostelworld.com travel blog we bring you all the latest company news and information on new additions to the site including podcasts, videos and more. You'll also get inside information on a variety of destinations across the globe as they're visited by our travel editor and writers.
