Hostelworld.com 'How to save money in...' videos named as an Official Honouree at the Webby Awards

In August 2008 we introduced our very first type of city guide video here at Hostelworld.com – the 'video diary'. After this we introduced the '10 things you need to know about...' videos which proved to be very popular. After their success, we knew we needed to follow these up with another type of video. Thus, the 'How to save money in...' videos were born in July 2009. We like to think they’re good videos, full of good ways to save money. Thankfully, we’re not the only ones as they’ve been named as an 'Official Honouree' at this year's Webby Awards.
The Webby Awards are the Oscars of the internet industry. There’s no doubt about it. In the past they’ve been attended by everybody from the Beastie Boys to Cameron Diaz...proper A-listers!!! So to be even considered to be a winner of a Webby Award is an honour.
If you haven’t watched our 'How to save money in...' videos, you should. They’re packed with, erm, ways to save money funnily enough. You might’ve came to that conclusion yourselves but thought I’d state the obvious. We’ve got ‘How to’ videos for New York, London, Rio de Janeiro and other cities – at time of writing there are nine videos live.
So if you’re planning a trip to a major city around the world and are looking for tips on how to save money in them, our 'How to save money in...' videos can help you out and they aren’t just any old videos...they’re Official Webby Honouree videos.
