So, against the will of an ash cloud currently being extremely inconsiderate to travellers around Europe, I’ve made it to Barcelona. At time of blogging, the ash cloud from Ejykiwhateveryoucallit is causing havoc over Spain in particular, but it’s decided to leave the east coast alone for the moment. I just hope it decides to stay away from here tonight also as that’s when I’m flying home.
So why the flying visit? Well, it’s because at present we don’t have any travel podcasts for Barcelona. I’m here to change all that. Tomorrow morning I’m meeting a representative from Barcelona Turisme to discuss the highlights of the city. In a couple of weeks you’ll be able to listen to find out.
While it’s the first one I’m going to record, the first one I’m going to release will be the podcast I’m recording tomorrow which is going to concentrate on the works of Antoni Gaudi. These include Casa Batlo, La Predrera, and the best known of all, La Sagrada Familia.
Then, as always, the podcast will be available on our podcast page, which at present, has podcasts for everywhere from Amsterdam to Tokyo.
In our hostelworld.com travel blog we bring you all the latest company news and information on new additions to the site including podcasts, videos and more. You'll also get inside information on a variety of destinations across the globe as they're visited by our travel editor and writers.
