And no, not Chicago. I’m in South Africa’s Windy City of Port Elizabeth or PE, a beautiful spot on the Sunshine Coast. I can see the sea from the window of my hostel room and it’s making me quite happy!
I’m staying at Lungile Lodge where I met Carla at reception who showed me to my awesome room. It’s got both its own little porch area and also a balcony overlooking the pool. There’s a kitchen area too, including a fridge so I’m going to stock up on some water in a while. Because, once again, it’s really very hot here!
I’m meeting Ed from the hostel at 4 to go over the awesome itinerary the guys have already put together for me (including whale watching!) so I can add in some things that I’ll need for the PDF guide of Port Elizabeth.
Tomorrow I’m off to Addo Elephant Park but I’m pretty sure I’m going to spend a good chunk of tonight checking out the restaurants and bars. Not a bad way to spend a Friday night!
