If you’re planning on going to the Olympics in London this August, good news – there’s still lots of London 2012 accommodation available. You may be wondering in what part of London should you stay? The thing is, along with the Olympic Stadium which is out near Stratford in East London, there are events taking place in Earls Court, Greenwich, Hyde Park beside Kensington and other parts of the city. Strawberries, rain delays and the occasional temper tantrum are just some of the things associated with Wimbledon, one of most popular sporting events of the summer. Celebrating its 125th anniversary this year, the competition is sure to be fierce. Wimbledon championship matches start on June 20th, so make your way to London’s SW19 area to see the likes of Serena Williams and Andy Murray battle their rivals.

On Saturday, May 28th the 2011 Champions League Final will take place in London’s Wembley stadium. If you’re one of the football fans going to see Manchester United take on Barcelona, keep in mind that there’s plenty to see and do in town before and after the game. There are certain things that are considered must-dos in different cities. Rome’s are the historic Roman Colosseum and the Vatican Museum which just drips of gold, while New York City’s are the iconic the Empire State Building and the gaudy yet dazzling Times Square among others. So what are London’s? It’s got a few – one of which is the London Eye, unquestionably one of London's top attractions.

This evening I took to the streets of London to take some photos of London at night. The city looks extremely beautiful at night as you can see. I started off down on the Thames to get shots of the London Eye and Big Ben, then went from there to Tower Bridge before hitting the West End to for shots of Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus.
