When it comes to nightlife in Cape Town, one street that pops up time and time again is Long St. This street is lined with bars on both sides and a good place to go for a night out.
Before ending up in Long Street I went for a steak in Nelson’s Eye on Hof St in the City Bowl (city outskirts). Known as one of the best places for steak in the city, it didn’t disappoint. My company for the evening was Melanie from the hostel and her friend Jade.
It was with them that I went to Zula Bar. There, just by chance, I met the Irish gang that I met in Hermanus. Small world. Melanie and Jade were urging me to climb up on the stage of the bar and slide down the poll there, but I passed. Nobody needed to see that.
It was a quiet enough night as I needed to be up early today to finish off the very last bits of the video. So by 1am, like a very good boy, I was wrapped up in my bed.
