Popular with travellers, fashionistas, people obsessed with taking pictures of their 'tall skinny caps' and lots of other people, Instagram became one of the world's most popular social networks in 2012. Like many others, we became big fans of the photo-sharing network in 2012, and now share images daily via our account. A mix of photos taken with on our travels in 2012 with our iPhone and others taken on previous trips with our trustworthy Canon 1000D, they're from destinations all around the world. Here are the ten most popular from 2012...
1. At the Holocaust Memorial, Berlin, Germany
Taken on a trip to Berlin in November 2012, this is a shot of Berlin's Holocaust Memorial, also known as The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. Consisting of 2,711 concrete pillars that ertr designed to 'produce an uneasy, confusing atmosphere' according to the architect Peter Eisenman. Since its inauguration in May 2005, it has been one of the most visited and moving sights in the German capital.
2. At Pariser Platz and The Brandenburg Gate, Berlin, Germany
Taken on the same trip, this is by far Berlin's, and possibly Germany's, most instantly recognisable landmark. If you visit Berlin, you will visit the Brandenburg Gate.
3. 'Twice As Nice' - just one of many typical shop fronts in Galway, Ireland
I love Galway for many reasons - shop fronts like this is just one of them. This shop can be found on Quay St, while there are similar fronts around the city.
4. The stunning St Mary's Church in Rynek Glówny, Krakow, Poland
This imposing church in the centre of Krakow's most visited square, Rynek Glówny, is one of Europe's most beautiful sights.
5. A snow-capped Riga, Latvia
There's something about snow-capped roofs, as this picture displays, that make cityscapes look that little bit more beautiful.
6. Inside the breathtaking Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Cape Town, South Africa
During my visit to Cape Town there was one word I found myself saying over and over again - 'Wow'. This photo explains why. If you're looking for a city to blow you away in 2013, make it Cape Town.
7. The beautiful, mystical Glencoe, Scotland
Ask many travel writers what their favourite place in the world is and many of them will say the Scottish Highlands. I understood why when I finally got to see the famous Glencoe a couple of years back. This view was also made famous this year in the new James Bond movie 'Skyfall'.
8. The view from Cerro Campanario near Bariloche, Argentina - one of the top 10 views in the world according to National Geographic
This view speaks for itself - truly mesmerising.
9. Tram line, Budapest, Hungary
Sometimes the simpler things can make the most beautiful photos, as this tram line in the Hungarian capital shows. The Instagram tilt shift function worked particularly well for this photo.
10. Sunrise over River Liffey, Dublin, Ireland
Every morning I cross the River Liffey, and every morning I look to my left to see the Samuel Beckett Bridge. I don't stop the car every morning though, but when I saw this sunrise I simply had to.
