Our photo of the day: A giraffe strikes a pose in Hluhluwe Game Reserve, South Africa

Our photo of the day is of a not so shy giraffe in Hluhluwe Game Reserve just outside Durban in South Africa. While the photo was taken at around 12 noon, the day began way before that at 5am. It's when you've the best chance of seeing the 'Big 5' - rhino, buffalo, lion, elephant and leopard. We saw four of the five that weekend, but missing one didn't leave me disappointed. Along with the giraffe in this shot I saw zebra, hyena and more.
