South Beach, Miami is different to other cities around the world. Whereas in cities such as New York City or Sydney or Paris there are a host of main attractions to visit, Miami isn’t like that. Instead, the beach is the ‘Eiffel Tower’. But here you will see attractions in their own right – lifeguard towers.
This particular tower can be located around 13th Street Beach, just a couple of blocks away from Miami Beach International Hostel on 9th Street in the heart of South Beach. I left my towel at it every evening while going for a swim after filming for the day. Thinking of it as I look over the grey skies of Dublin almost brings a tear to my eye. But hey…at least I can say I was there.
If you want to see this lifeguard tower for yourself before strolling down Ocean Drive, admiring the Art Deco hotels along the way, then book a hostel in Miami. You won’t regret it.
