    Our photo of the day: At Church Square in Pretoria Central

    I really enjoyed my visit to Pretoria in South Africa’s northern Gauteng Province. The locals are friendly, the attractions are a lot of fun and there’s a great selection of places to eat and drink. In fact, Pretoria is a really great place to try traditional Afrikaner dishes like ‘vetkoek’, a pastry packed full of delicious fillings. Yum.

    I included some of my favourite places to eat in Pretoria in our Pretoria pocket guide which you can download for free. This guide also has some handy info about saving money in Pretoria by visiting free attractions including beautiful Church Square where you can soak up the sun while mingling with the locals.
