Walking around Mendoza, you'll soon realise it's unlike other South American cities (if you've been to any prior to visiting this one). Other cities on the continent are known for their hecticness and fast pace. But one city that hasn't really adopted this way of life is Mendoza in western Argentina.
The first thing I noticed about Mendoza when I was visited was that all the streets were tree-lined. Each and every one was as lush as the other. While this wasn't completely different to the city I arrived from, Santiago, it was a change from the streets of Cusco and Lima in Peru.
Mendoza wasn't on my initial itinerary for Argentina but I'm glad I visited. It's a beautiful city and its slower pace was a breath of fresh air. Try to visit it if you're going to Argentina. If you're looking for some inspiration, listen to our podcast, watch our video and more here.
