Bath is one of my favourite cities in the UK thanks to the friendly locals and must-see attractions, including the famous Roman Baths which should definitely be at the top of your list. You’ll love this city because even though it has a real small-town vibe, there’s always something fun to do.
During my short stay in the city, I visited the Roman Baths to record a podcast. While I was there I noticed a couple of costumed performers were talking to anyone interested about local customs around the time the Baths were built, and that’s who you can see in the picture above. Why not check it out for yourself and see whether you get to meet ‘Britons’ or ‘Romans’.You can see more of the Roman Baths plus everything else Bath has to offer in our Bath video postcard.
All that wandering around is thirsty work and on my trip, I came across a few great places to head for a drink after a long day. If you fancy real ale and good company, head to The Bell. You can find out more about the other great bars and restaurants I visited in Bath, what you can do for free and lots more in our free Bath pocket guide.
In our hostelworld.com travel blog we bring you all the latest company news and information on new additions to the site including podcasts, videos and more. You'll also get inside information on a variety of destinations across the globe as they're visited by our travel editor and writers.
