    Our photo of the day: Playing street chess in Salzburg

    Salzburg is not the first city I’ve been in where I’ve wandered across a street chess game in progress. This particular game was taking place in Kapitelplatz behind Salzburg Cathedral and it was being watched by a good crowd.

    Lots of The Sound of Music was filmed in this beautiful Austrian city and during your stay you’ll be able to visit some of the spots featured in the movie. These include the gorgeous Mirabell Gardens and plenty more. Music is very important in Salzburg, as the world famous composer Mozart was born here.
