The past few days have gone so quickly! What with all the sightseeing around the city, the trip to Addo and Schotia my time here in Port Elizabeth really has flown.

Sardinia Bay is a short drive outside of Port Elizabeth and if you’re looking for impressive sand dunes, pristine beaches and great waters, then this is a great place to check out.

Spent a good portion of yesterday going to check out some of the city’s main sights along with Ed and Martin from Lungile Lodge. First off was a trip to the Port Elizabeth Museum, which was really interesting.

Schotia Safaris is a family run private game reserve and Malcolm once again squired us around the park while we saw animals like lions, rhinos, giraffes, hippos, warthogs, impala, crocs and much more.

Spent the first half of yesterday being driven around Addo Elephant Park by Malcolm, a ranger with Schotia Safaris, where we spent the second half of the day. And boy, did we see some elephants.

I met Ed and Martin from the hostel (Ed organises all the tours and Martin’s going to be working on the hostel website) and we went on a trip down to the Boardwalk in Port Elizabeth for some dinner.

And no, not Chicago. I’m in South Africa’s Windy City of Port Elizabeth or PE, a beautiful spot on the Sunshine Coast. I can see the sea from the window of my hostel room and it’s making me quite happy.
