Down in the Quatier Petit Champlain, you’ll find a much-loved restaurant called Le cochon dingue or ‘crazy pig’. It’s something of an institution in Quebec City and has been in operation since 1979.

One of the coolest places I visited today was the Musée de la Civilisation, which is one of the top museums here in Quebec City. It was filled with people strolling around and enjoying the various exhibits.

On Thursday I visited L’Observatoire de la Capitale and recorded a podcast but because of the weather I couldn’t get any good photos or video. So when I woke up this morning and discovered that the rain had stopped, the Observatoire was one of my first stops.

The rain finally stopped just before sunset here in Quebec City, allowing for some pretty gorgeous colours in the sky and some great light for pictures.

After recording a podcast at the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, I caught the shuttle out to Wendake, a reserve about a 20-minute drive from Quebec City.

This evening I sampled some delicious Quebec food including the wonderful ‘Pouding chômeur’ pictured here, while having a great chat with Richard from the city’s tourist office. After that, I decided to check out a couple of Quebec City’s top bars and clubs.

I arrived in Quebec City at about lunchtime today having caught the train in Montréal. This really is a great time of the year for travelling by train here as all the trees are turning amazing colours and it made for some beautiful scenery along the way.
