I’ve been to Thailand a few times, and last time I was there I lived on Tom Yum Soup. Last night I had the closest thing I’ve tasted to what I tasted there in a very long time. If you’re planning a trip to Cape Town and are looking for authentic Thai food dine in ‘Simply Asia’ on Park St in the city bowl. You won’t be disappointed.
When I returned to The Backpack there were quite a few people – Brendan and Melanie stayed for a beer after they’d finished work, Peitr (that’s the same Peter that I was out with on Sunday only I’ve attempted to spell his name properly this time) and his girlfriend Shodi were there and a few others. Not one to miss out on a photo op, I got a picture of the troop and here it is. But while the picture suggests we had a bit of a mad one, it was actually tame enough.
Now I’m going to drive a car in a different country for the second time ever. This time should be easier though – the South Efricans drive on the same side of the road as the Oirish.
