There was a time when St Patrick's Day in Dublin was celebrated on only the day itself - March 17th. But over the years things have changed and now, instead of just having a one-day party, Dublin hosts the five-day St Patrick's Festival that has much more than a parade.
The top ten highlights of this festival can be found in the travel feature we published last week. And if you want to see what you can expect, check out our St Patrick's Festival video. For the full festival calendar visit the official St Patrick's Festival website.
If you're planning on visiting Dublin for St Patrick's Day, but haven't booked your accommodation just yet, don't fret - there are still hostels in Dublin with availability for the big day - March 17th.
