    The Hostel Awards 2013: and the winner is...

    Are you looking to stay in an award-winning hostel? Well, the time has come again – we've got the winners of our 11th annual Hostel Awards!

    The big winner on the night was Yes! Lisbon Hostel, who won Best Hostel In the World. They also won Best Large Hostel, Most Popular in Lisbon and Best in Portugal – so it was celebrations all 'round for them!

    Other winners on the night included Hostel One Paralelo, who are going home with an award for Best Small Hostel, and USA Hostels, who won Best Hostel Chain.

    We're also pleased to announce that Granny's Hostel in Kuta, Indonesia, won Best New to Hostelworld, followed by Sant Jordi Gracia in Barcelona, Spain, and Wickham Retreat Backpackers in Perth, Australia.

    There are a number of sore heads and happy faces this morning following the awards, as our Hostel Conference continues for another day – but in the meantime you can check out the full list of 2013 Hostel Award winners here. Congratulations to all the winners – and happy travels!
