I'm quite excited I have to say. Tomorrow I will be visiting Machu Picchu. I haven't felt like this since going to the Great Wall of China. It's one of those sights that you have seen countless times before, so seeing it for the first time is going to be special.
At the dinner table this evening there was a lot of chat though, about what time we would leave at. See, the way it works is this - the gates to Machu Picchu open at 6am. But the reason people go there early is to get tickets for Huayna Pichu, the big mountain that's in all the postcards. You can climb that if you feel the need. Personally, I'm not sure if I will. I didn't come here to climb that mountain…I came here to look at it.
Anyway, we will see what happens tomorrow.
