Commercial Drive is one of the areas you should definitely spend some time in during your visit to this Canadian city as it boasts a great selection of shops, restaurants and bars.
It’s a really long street and, in terms of shopping, it’s home to everything from dollar stores to quirky little alternative boutiques. As you stroll along this street, you’ll also see art shops, speciality stores, second-hand places and plenty more.
The street was bustling with people today who were out enjoying the beautiful sunny weather. Many of them had opted to sit with a drink at the outdoor tables or window seats of some of Commercial Drive’s many bars, restaurants and coffee shops.
One of the restaurants you should try to check out here is Bandidas, a Mexican taqueria with a difference – all the food here is vegetarian or vegan. The menu is reasonably priced and there’s a great selection of things to try out from nachos to enchiladas. There’s a real welcoming feel to the place too, making it a top spot for dining out along Vancouver’s popular Commercial Drive.
In terms of bars, there’s the Libra Room where you’ll hear a great selection of live acts who take to the stage in the comfy yet chic interior. While the bands play, you can enjoy a huge array of reasonably priced drinks served up at the bar.
