Not too sore a head for the day after St.Patrick's thankfully! A hearty cooked breakfast at the hostel filled a gap and no-one collapsed over the breakfast tables despite the tired eyes.
The city council seem to have done a sterling job of clearing the littered streets in time for sunrise and a standard, if hungover, work-day for the Irish.

I strongly recommend this excursion to visitors. The guided tour around the wind-swept interior of the jail is informative (as is the chapel and museum element) no matter your age and interest. It’s full of engaging religious, historical and political background information without bias or judgement.
