We would like to say a big congratulations to the winners of our Festival Fever competition where we gave away three pairs of tickets to some of this summer’s hottest European music festivals. To be in with a chance of winning, we asked you to tell us about your essential festival item. We got lots of responses, from practical things like tickets and tents to more unusual stuff like chest hair and giant moustaches.
And the winners are...
Kate Dargan, Ireland: Festival essential is: Baby Wipes - Kate and her friend are heading off to Sziget Festival taking place in Budapest, Hungary from August 8th-15th.
Charlie Johnson, England: Festival essential is: Dry Shampoo - Charlie and his friend are on their way to Sopron, Hungary for Volt Festival, which is taking place from June 28th-July 3rd.
Paul Martin Paul and his friend are going to Balaton Sound, which is taking place from July 7th-11th in Zamardi, Hungary.
In association with Casa de la Musica hostel, we’re providing hostel accommodation for each of the winners and a friend before and after the festival.
The line-ups at all three festivals are pretty amazing. Get ready to rock out to the sounds of Amy Winehouse, Interpol, Pulp and more at Sziget Festival. Some of the performers set to wow the crowds at Volt Festival include My Chemical Romance, Moby and House of Pain. At Balton Sound, revellers have the chance to hear popular performers like Snoop Dogg, Mika, David Guetta, and more.
If you want to get more info on the line-ups, check out our Festival Fever competition page.
Now that the competition’s closed, we can also reveal your Top 10 Essential Festival Items:
3. A good friend
4. Wet wipes
6. Sun block
8. Toilet Roll
10. Wellington boots
How many of these are you taking with you to this summer’s coolest music festivals?
