The end of my first day on the trip in crazy London
January 19th 2007, London, England

I got there in the morning after hovering around the city on the airbus for some 30 minutes, there was apparantly what can be described as a mini-hurricane. Some metro (or should I say tube) stations were shut down and it was very COLD (think facteur vent).
Anyways, this city is cahotic at best and to be enjoyed with moderation - I think I have already had my fair share. Truth be told, I was not ready for London, but neither was London ready for me. I hate it right now, the weather is horrible (bad first impression) everything is too expensive for a budget traveller, the subway too complicated, the bus tour driver did not stop to pick me up from the bus stop, did I say the weather was horrible. Granted I get cranky when I don't get enough sleep and I have now been awake for 36hrs... almost slept on the tube, am not eating well and extremely disappointed. Plus... WTF this city is mad and here is why:
London sucks for the following reasons:
1- pple drive on the wrong side of the road so crossing streets is very dangerous
2- Bus drivers ignore you - even when you knock on the door
3- McDo doesn't put mayo in the bigmac
4- it was VERY windy: a minor hurricane apparament
5- hostel does not make coffee (there is a machine)
6- the metro/subway is called the tube
7- They don't put street names in an obvious way on intersection but rather on walls so you have to cross the street and walk a little to figure out where you are.
8- Makes me think of a more arrogant NY
9- because I said so
peace yo
