Top Tip: Get out of tourist central areas, and check out the culture. Theres nothing worse then a touristry tourist.

I was born and bred in Wollongong. It's the place I call home. Two hours south of Sydney, it's a beautiful place. Beaches, shopping, and some of the finest restaurants I've come across. What more could you ask for? Surrounded by the oceans, and the mountains. It's heaven. You wanna know the best place to have a beer, or the cleanest hotel? Ask away. I can help. :)

Q: Hello Tessa,

I'm travelling to Wollongong on the 7th of November, for the one night. Can you please recommend a nice hotel, about $100 a night.
Nothing too fancy, but nothing too budgety.
Thanks in advance.

A: James,
There are quite a few options for hotels of that price range in Wollongong.
The Ibis Hotel in Wollongong has rooms from $119 for the night you've specified.
The Novotel also has rooms from $140.
Both are beautiful, and if you're willing to spend the extra money, I'd reccomend the Novotel.
There is also a YHA with rooms from $50, which is cheaper then what you want to spend, but the quality is just as good. And I mean that quite literally.
Hope I can help.

Tessa
