I was born in Hofn, Iceland. It is a small fishing town on the east coast of Iceland. I lived in the capital Reykjavik for a few years so I know my way around. I work as a certified travel agent. If you have any questions about Iceland I have the answear!!
Q: I have 2 weeks vacation in October and really want to see Iceland, is this a good time to visit or am I best to see a different place at that time and see Iceland another time?
Also, 1 week is spent at a friends' wedding, so is a week enough time to see Iceland (if I am willing to travel and see things every day with no rest?)

A: Dear Emma, the best time to visit Iceland is in the summer time. October is usually rainy and it gets darker soon. I would suggest to go another time to get the most out of Iceland. You can see a lot in 1 week, deffinetly ! If you orginize youreself there is much to see and you could use only a week. But of course like with every country to really see the country and enjoy it you always want to give youreself a little bit more time :) Hope I answeared youre questions and if you have any more I'd be happy to answear them as well.

A: Yes again everything in Iceland today is expensive. But that doesn't stop Icelanders from going out every weekend!!!

A: Too much to choose from. The best thing is to go downtown Reykjavik and hop from one bar to another. They're all good bars!!! Everyone will find one for their taste.

Q: Is it easy to get around Iceland?

A: Yes it's fairly easy. We have domestic flights and buses that run all year round. In the capital public transportation is good. There are buses and then of course taxis.
