Q: In your opinion, what is Helsinki’s number one attraction?
Submitted By: Hostelworld Moderator on the 17th November 2006
A: Of course in winter time the whole scenery is amazing especially if you haven´t experienced cold snowy winter before. One of the main sights of the city is definitely Helsinki Cathedral.
Q: What else shouldn’t be missed?
Submitted By: Hostelworld Moderator on the 17th November 2006
A: My honest opinion is that every foreign tourist in Finland should experience the life outside the capital. I mean the real finnish nature and life-style is beyond the borders of Helsinki. Cottages near beautiful lakes and forests are really beautiful. I can also help you to see this "more beautiful" Finland.
Q: Is it expensive to eat out in Helsinki?
Submitted By: Hostelworld Moderator on the 17th November 2006
A: Yes. There´s also cheap choices like restaurant (Unicafe) near Stockmann building where college students mainly eat their lunches.
Q: What is the best part of Helsinki to eat out in?
Submitted By: Hostelworld Moderator on the 17th November 2006
A: City centre, Kamppi.
Q: Is it expensive to go out at night in Helsinki?
Submitted By: Hostelworld Moderator on the 17th November 2006
A: Trendy nightclubs are very expensive, but if you just like to grab a beer or two in a bar or pub, you won´t lose your money.
Q: What is your favourite bar/club in Helsinki?
Submitted By: Hostelworld Moderator on the 17th November 2006
A: I like to listen live music when I go out. For example 'On the Rocks' is a good choice, or 'Tavastia'. There's also nice Irish bar, 'Molly Malones' Good live music every night...
