Top Tip: 1. Organise everything before its too late to handle. 2. Respect people and culture of other countries. 3. Don't show off 4. Never forget where u come from 5. Always have smile on ur face and pass it to others also. 6. Enjoy ur tour fully.
I was born in small town named Meerut in the northern part of India in 1982 and later on in 1991 my family shifted to the capital city of India - New Delhi. Since then I am here only. Since i have a lot of knowledge about the city, especially the southern part of Delhi, I can be your excellent guide to this hot destination. Want to know something about new delhi? A: Dear Marith,
u r right delhi has changed a lot in terms of economic as well as physical state. i don't know about the tme when u visited the city 10 years back but frankly speaking in today's time this city is very unsafe for people of the age above 40-45 since the crime rate has shot up very fast and unfortunately the govt is not taking up any harse steps to curb it down which is why the no of tourist from outside delhi r also not ready to come here especially the womens. as for ur answer the city has changed but towards a negative sphere with a bad atmosphere so i would recommed that if u really want to visit the city then do come in groups rather than single and be with a good guide or travel agency like Cox & Kings so that your journey is safe.
by telling all this i m not trying to demotivate u from visiting this beautiful city but u must take care of yourself and your valueables on the trip. hoping for a good journey.
Regards,
Nikhil Gandhi

Q: In general, what is the attitude toward foreigners (Americans, in particular) in Delhi these days? Is it possible to get around the city (successfully and easily) only speaking English? What language do most people in Delhi speak?
Submitted By: Elle on the 15th August 2006
A: Well most of the delhites have a warm attitude towards foreigners especially the british & americans, but u must take precautions while u r visiting the city in late night hours especially with strangers i.e. taxi drivers or people with bad looks personlaity wise, otherwise everything is normal here and u can get around here quite well and visit the entire city easily. Well since delhi is the capital of India there r people from different backgrounds with different culture and languages but the most frequetly spoken language is Hindi & English of course, other langauges spoken here r tamil, malayali, urdu, and many other regional languages including the famous bojpuri.
I hope that i have solved most of your problem but if u still have any questions which r yet to be answered then feel free to write back to me and i will be glad to solve them.

Q: How strong is monsoon during mid August in Delhi,Jaipura nd Agra? Is it possible to move around during the day despite of the rain? Are the street markets open?
Submitted By: Abdiel Flores on the 21st June 2006
A: well dear till the point i know its really a bad and a good situation in these cities during monsoon. Bad because the area becomes very dirty in these cities and its not easy to walk in there then also there r no street markets open except a few ones for shopping and i have never experienced a rainy shopping in my life till now. but the good point is that the temperature falls down drastically and then creates high humadity in these cities, but if u are interest in getting wet then certainly u can go around the rainy days in these cities. i hope i have answered ur question well, still if any query is there than dont hestitate to mail me back and i will be greatful to help u.
